Hi! We’re Morrissey Language Services, a boutique language services company founded in 2015 to provide translation, interpretation, editing, subtitling, and voiceover. We specialize in Spanish and English and can provide certified translations in those languages as well as translation and interpretation services in French, Portuguese, and other languages through our network of expert linguists. Our subject matter expertise and passion lie in environmental issues, social justice, public health, and wellness. We are based in Cary, North Carolina, and serve clients all around the world.

Subject Matter Expertise
Megan has 15 years of experience with strategic communications. She is a certified Spanish-English translator, writer, editor, media manager, and storyteller. Her subject matter expertise is in environmental conservation, human rights, social justice, diplomacy, and the geopolitics of the Global South.
Corina has 15 years of experience in international public health and wellness. She is a native Spanish speaker, certified yoga and meditation instructor, health and wellness coach, and project manager. Her subject matter expertise is in sexual and reproductive health, mental health, yoga, coaching, Ayurveda, spirituality, community development, Indigenous issues, and cross-cultural relations.

State of the Art
The field of translation has evolved significantly with AI. Novel technology now makes our job faster and easier but it’s essential to have a “human in the loop” to verify the accuracy and consistency of terminology, and ensure the intended style, tone, and context. We are well-versed with the most effective software available in the field now and use it strategically as needed. For instance, some of the softwares that we work with include SDL Trados, Happy Scribe, Weglot.
Our Story
Megan and Corina met in Washington, DC in 2004. They both graduated from Georgetown University and worked for the Center for Latin American Studies in the School of Foreign Service. They share a love of the Spanish Language (especially on funny street signs), the outdoors, wellness, reading, and traveling. They have a passion for vegetarianism, yoga, conservation, and social justice issues. Megan lives with her husband and two small sons in North Carolina and Corina lives with her husband and stepdaughter in Pune, India.
They both love working within their fields and can provide the technical know-how to ensure materials related to these issues are translated or interpreted accurately and completely. They also collaborate with a like-minded network of trusted language professionals to provide expertise in languages or subjects beyond their scope.
